Waterproof tile backing boards have a wide range of applications, especially suitable for areas with high requirements for moisture resistance and tile adhesion:

Wet areas in kitchens and bathrooms: Shower room walls, around bathtubs, under kitchen sinks, laundry rooms, etc.

Currently, most mainstream waterproof tile backing boards on the market use extruded polystyrene (XPS) as the core material, covered with alkali-resistant mesh fabric and a high-polymer waterproof mortar coating. This structure offers several significant advantages: Extreme Waterproofing and Moisture Resistance: The XPS core material features a uniform closed-cell structure that does not absorb water and prevents water vapor from permeating, completely blocking moisture penetration into the wall and preventing mold growth or wood framing rot.

High Strength and High Adhesion: The surface polymer waterproof mortar and alkali-resistant mesh increase the rigidity of the board and are fully compatible with commercially available tile adhesives and modified polymer mortars, firmly "gripping" the tiles.

Lightweight and Easy to Install: Compared to traditional cement mortar leveling, it is extremely lightweight and can be easily cut on-site. This eliminates lengthy wet work and backfilling waiting times, resulting in extremely high tile-laying efficiency.

Many buyers worry about the insufficient load-bearing capacity of lightweight composite boards. However, this backing board undergoes specialized structural reinforcement, with an embedded alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh on the surface. Its dense, wear-resistant, impact-resistant, and bending-resistant properties fully meet the requirements for laying ceramic tiles, marble, slabs, and other decorative materials. The panels come pre-leveled with high precision, eliminating the need for repeated layers of cement mortar plastering. After cleaning away dust, thin-layer tiles can be directly applied, saving on multiple wet curing steps. This reduces costs for waterproofing materials and labor, and significantly shortens the drying time. Panel cutting and grooving are simple, allowing for quick on-site processing of water and electricity pipes and drain holes. Ordinary workers can operate the system without special training.

The entire panel installation process is simple and easy to control. A 3-5 mm expansion joint is left between panels to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction. After cleaning the joints, a special waterproof mortar is evenly applied, followed by the embedding of fiberglass waterproof sealing tape, and then another layer of mortar is applied and smoothed. Wall corners and wall-floor junctions require a rounded transition with waterproof mortar and reinforced with widened waterproof sealing tape. Gaps around pipes and drains are filled with flexible waterproof sealant, eliminating the need for repeated layers of waterproofing membrane. This simplifies the construction process and reduces the risk of leaks due to human error. Compared to traditional multi-layer waterproofing solutions, this method offers a more cost-effective overall solution and significantly reduces the likelihood of future leaks and repairs. The product comes in a full range of standard lengths, widths, and thicknesses, suitable for small apartments and large-scale renovations of bathrooms. Custom sizes can also be produced to fit specific project drawings.

Strict quality control standards are maintained at the factory. Each batch of boards undergoes sampling for testing of water absorption, compressive strength, and thermal cycling durability. All indicators meet the construction specifications for building materials in wet areas. Clear model markings can be printed on the board surface for easy on-site inventory and project acceptance verification. Finished products are wrapped in a moisture-proof protective film and packaged in rigid cardboard boxes, effectively protecting against moisture and impacts for domestic short-distance project delivery and long-distance international shipping. Complete test reports and environmental qualification documents are provided with each shipment, facilitating domestic project acceptance and overseas customs clearance.
