Our polymer quartz insulated waterproof backer board adopts a sandwich composite structure. High pressure resistant waterproof XPS foam serves as the central thermal insulation core. Both sides are reinforced with high tensile alkali-resistant fiber mesh, then covered with nano polymer quartz coating, all fully prefabricated in our factory to cut on-site construction steps

Triple Composite Structure Delivers Multi-function Performance

Every layer of this insulated backer board is engineered to carry targeted functional benefits, combining thermal insulation, full waterproofing and long-term weather durability in one panel

Thermal Insulation Core Layer We select high density XPS as the insulating substrate, featuring volume resistivity ≥10¹⁴Ω·cm and dielectric strength ≥20kV/mm. The compact foam structure effectively blocks heat transfer, low-frequency current and high-frequency electromagnetic interference. Even under persistent humid conditions, the core maintains stable thermal and insulating performance without degradation;

Heavy-Duty Waterproof Surface Layer The outer surface is finished with premium polyurea (PU) or EPDM waterproof coating, with minimum 1.5mm dry film thickness. Tested following GB/T 23445-2009 standard, the panel remains leak-free under 0.3MPa water pressure over 30 minutes. For higher waterproof demands, we offer multi-layer composite versions with butyl rubber self-adhesive layer plus PE release film to boost long-term sealing performance;

Anti-Aging Weather Reinforced Outer Layer UV stabilizers and anti-abrasion mineral particles are blended into the surface coating. The finished board withstands extreme temperature fluctuations from -40℃ up to 120℃. After 2000 hours QUV accelerated aging testing, its waterproof performance only drops below 5%, making it fit for both indoor wet zones and exterior outdoor wall projects

1, Indoor Wet Zones：Bathrooms and Shower Rooms
Mount behind ceramic tile, natural stone or acrylic shower panels. It stops condensed water and splashed moisture from penetrating wall studs, subfloors and concrete bases. Meanwhile, the XPS core locks indoor heat to reduce energy loss from hot shower water, lowering long-term heating costs;
2, External Exterior Wall Insulation Systems
Install between wall framing and outer siding panels. It forms a continuous waterproof barrier against rain infiltration while upgrading the whole wall's thermal insulation efficiency, cutting building heating & cooling consumption year-round

How To Choose Proper Thickness

Select thickness according to your thermal insulation targets, wall load limits, installation space and local climate environment：For light splash indoor areas with basic insulation needs, thin panels around 10mm deliver a budget-friendly solution;For exterior walls or high-humidity shower enclosures, thicker grades (30–80mm) provide stronger heat retention and water resistance.
