Its multi‑layer composite structure consists of XPS insulation core laminated between dual polymer‑quartz reinforced facings. Polymer Quartz Board is a new‑generation composite building substrate, specially developed for humid‑condition areas, tile bedding systems and prefabricated renovation projects. It adopts an integrated multi‑layer laminated composite structure. From base to surface, the layers are base levelling layer, high‑density XPS thermal insulation core, modified polymer‑quartz reinforced layer and wear‑resistant top layer. All functional layers are bonded under high temperature and high pressure without hollow gaps or delamination. Each layer performs its dedicated function to combine thermal insulation, waterproofing, crack‑resistance and high adhesive performance, which makes it different from conventional single‑material cement board or gypsum backer boards

 

For material and specifications, the core is made of closed‑cell high‑density XPS extruded polystyrene with extremely low water absorption. The upper and lower reinforced layers are polymerized by quartz sand and modified polymer without asbestos or formaldehyde, qualifying it as eco‑friendly building material. Multiple overall thickness options are available: 6mm,10mm,12mm,20mm and custom‑made core thickness. Standard dimension is 1220×2440 mm, non‑standard cutting is acceptable for both on‑site dry construction and off‑site prefabrication. Major strengths lie in wet‑zone compatibility and structural stability. Closed‑cell XPS core blocks moisture penetration.
