Water Resistant Foam Backer Board is made of high-pressure and waterproof XPS board as the core material, reinforced with alkali-resistant high-strength fiber on both sides, coated with polymer nano-quartz coating, and prefabricated in the factory.

Water Resistant Foam Backer Board are available in various thicknesses,sizes,and curved shapes. They have excellent thermal insulation and water-proof properties. They can not only serve as an ideal backing base for thin-film ceramic tiles, but can also be used for whole-house leveling,multi-functional shaping backing,. house thermalinsulation,waterproofing and moisture -proofing in areas such as bathrooms, spa clubs, and base-ments as wellas floor sound insulation and noise reduction. 6mm thick products are ofen used as base for wood panels or OSB boards to provide a base for tile laying or a moisture-proof layer for wardrobe walls;
12mm thick products are often used on light steel keels with a keel spacing of 30mm or on walls with good leveling, and as a waterproof layer for showerrooms, etc.
The 20mm thick product is commonly used on light steel keels with a keel spacing of 60mm or on concrete wals that are not leveled well. Application Cases of Water Resistant Foam Backer Board.

One of our overseas clients owned a detached villa with a windowless, poorly ventilated bathroom. Initially, ordinary moisture-resistant gypsum board was used for waterproofing. Within two years of moving in, the entire shower wall was covered in black mold spots, repeatedly recurring after cleaning, causing peeling paint and a pungent odor. During the renovation, all the paint was replaced with Water Resistant Foam Backer Board. The board's closed-cell structure completely prevents water absorption and moisture retention, and its inherent mold-resistant and antibacterial properties prevent moisture from penetrating the substrate. This perfectly solved the problems of black and green mold growth on the walls, and peeling paint in the corners. The damp, musty smell is gone, creating a healthy living environment.
